After two days of 12 hour hard core road tripping, we made it to Florida only to hear about nasty weather coming our way. Glenn and Denise decided we should leave immediately to get ahead of it. I gave them a "paws up" and off we went. Eight hours later, 2hrs of total darkness, lightening, a run in with the Bahamas Defence Force and running into the dock, we arrived! I've been sleeping ever since :)
My boyfriend George was so happy to see me on Saturday, it made me feel warm all over.....ok, maybe I peed a little. I was a little concerned with all the attention Glenn was getting but George tired of him quickly. Thanks Marg and Deirdre for all the treats and making me soooo comfortable. And a special shout out to my buddy Henry.......see you soon my friend. xoxo Roache Family! Isabella and Adriana were great fun to hang out with. Isabella took me for lots of long walks in the park. I also enjoyed dancing for my treats.....yum, yum! Thanks for introducing me to all your stuffies. They were all very nice, but I was a little afraid of the pink one sneaking up behind me. Had so much fun playing with Mr. Darcy too. Hugs and kisses. Keep up the great work with your reading and see you soon by the pool.
After a very rocky ride on the Ferry, I was extremely relieved and happy to set my paws down in Nova Scotia. Had a great weekend hanging out with my favorite nerds in Halifax. I also had the opportunity to bond with my new pal Gunner, but we mostly just spent the weekend denying each others existence. I must admit; I prefer humans. Next stop, Middle River, New Brunswick.....with a quick detour into Shediac. Mommy & Glenn thought it would be funny to have that huge lobster try and scare me. But I'm tougher than that ;) Spent a wonderful week hanging out and playing in the leaves with Princess. Ciao Bella!
Our road trip back to the Bahamas has begun! Looking forward to seeing old friends and family and perhaps making some new friends along the way. A bitter sweet farewell to the Rock for another year. Emsy gave me some tips on how to pass the time during the long hours of driving and it really works.....the time just flies by. Thanks girl!!
Mommy's haircut $67.00, Toopy's haircut $75.00, spending the morning being pampered........Priceless!!
I can't believe my little Emily is turning 20 today!!! It seems like yesterday when she picked my out of the litter.......well, if truth be told, I picked her ;) It was love at first sight and we've had a ball growing up together....xoxoxo This past week, my two favorite girls flew to Newfieland just to be with me.......sigh. There was lot's of snuggling, sleeping in, road trips and exploring. Miss you girls already - xoxoxo Toopy love xoxoxo Even with all the attention and fun, I still remembered to stop and smell the flowers.
All the Hill brothers showed up this weekend to build a new house for the pump, It was a lot of work to supervise and oversee this project, but I stuck with it and made sure that it was done properly. Well, Glenn decided to start staining the new shed. This constant supervising is tough, especially with this crazy contraption on my head. I had to get up on the ladder to show him the spots he had missed. Definitely going to need 2 coats.
Last week, we left the cabin and went down to the big city of St. John's. This was so that Glenn could play golf and get me a much needed haircut, as it is suddenly very hot here in Newfieland.
Well the good news is that I got cut, shaved and shampooed :) The bad news is that Glenn and Nan noticed after picking me up from my haircut that my right eye was very cloudy and sore looking. They decided that this needed to be checked out and so we took a quick visit to the vet. Turned out to be the right choice as I apparently have an ulcer in my right eye. Boy, I hate being poked. I almost bit that nice vet who was trying to help me. She said I was lucky to come in so soon to catch the problem and I now have to have Glenn medicate my eye every 4 hours. If that wasn't bad enough, I have to wear this silly cone-head thing to protect my eye for the next few days. How humiliating! :( |
